Accommodation
Deer Valley LodgingThe lodging mix at the
Deer Valley Ski Resort is comprised primarily of upscale condominiums and private homes, with a limited number of Deer Valley hotels. Many of the properties are architecturally stunning and are ski-in ski-out or just a short walk to the lifts or ski area.
There is no village per se at Deer Valley, and the main focal point of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping are in nearby
Park City. The various lodging areas at Deer Valley have only limited night time facilities. The main Deer Valley accommodations are near the base at the Snow Park Village otherwise known as Lower Deer Valley (see
Deer Valley map). Right next to the day lodge is the
Black Diamond Lodge, offering 1-4 bedroom condos starting at $815 per night (regular season). Hotel rooms are available at the Silver Baron Lodge at The Lodges at Deer Valley for $390 per night.
Mid-mountain is the Silver Lake Village (aka Upper Deer Valley - see
map) where the ultimate in luxury lodging is the 5 star Stein Eriksen Lodge, which is a full service hotel with deluxe rooms or multi-room suites. Also in this area is
The Chateaux, with hotel rooms starting from $600 per night in the regular season. The nearby Austrian style hotel,
The Golden Hirsch Inn has rooms starting from $469 in the regular season.
The Northside/Silver Strike area near the Northside and Silver Strike lifts has a few vacation rentals, but many of these are private homes.
Many of the Deer Valley properties can be booked through the Deer Valley ski resort property management service, or directly.
Cost of Deer Valley Accommodations
The accommodation at Deer Valley is very upscale and has the associated tariffs to match. The least expensive accommodation starts at about $250 per night in value season, so if the rates are within your budget then make the most of it, but otherwise you can stay elsewhere and commute. Less expensive accommodation can be found with
Park City hotels about a mile away. Frequent public buses run between Park City and Deer Valley all day and into the evening. Bargains are few and far between in Park City, with prices most expensive around historic Main St and around the base of Park City Mountain Resort. More reasonable prices can be found in the outer areas of Park City or even with
Salt Lake City hotels, but these have the associated inconvenience of commuting.
