Facilities for ChildrenThere are various agencies that organise babysitting services, often at your accommodation.
Around the Clock Childcare is one example of an organisation that offer 1:1 care or group care. There are also various operators that hire out baby equipment, and many of the major hotels also can organise babysitting services.
The ski resorts around Queenstown have child care available.
Ski Hire Queenstown and Snowboard RentalThere are lots of ski and snowboard rental shops in Queenstown, and with so much competition, the prices are low and the quality generally high. It is cheaper to hire your equipment in Queenstown than at the resorts, but you might find it disadvantageous to lug your equipment up the hill. Some of the Queenstown ski hire shops offer complimentary equipment delivery and pick-up.

Browns in Brecon St, where the prices are higher but they offer good quality service.
Outside Sports are the largest ski and snowboard shop in Queenstown and rent out a large range of equipment. They hire “backpacker ski or snowboard sets” at cheap rates, classic rental gear, and premier range gear. They also rent out powder skis if you’re heading out heli skiing. Discounts of 15% are applied for 3 or more days of hire, and conveniently they offer a delivery and pick up service from your accommodation.
Banking and Internet FacilitiesThere is certainly no shortage of ATMs and money exchange shops around Queenstown. There are a couple of internet cafes in the centre of town, and many of the accommodation places provide business centres or internet access.
