Accommodation
Keystone’s base area is divided into three broad ‘villages’. The main centre of activity is River Run Village. The other village areas are Lakeside and Mountain House. To further complicate matters there is also West Keystone, North Keystone and East Keystone (refer to
map).
River Run Village is the heart and soul of Keystone and has the majority of the shops, restaurants and accommodation. It is the most convenient location for accessing the major lifts to the top of Dercum Mountain.
Keystone has an excellent central reservations booking service via its
website. All types of accom are available except hostel style.
Some of the better properties are:
- River Run Condominiums – includes Dakota Lodge and several other properties in the River Run Village. These are well located and priced, fully self contained studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. See our Dakota Lodge review.
- Inn at Keystone – hotel rooms and suites for reasonable rates a short shuttle ride to the lifts located off Hwy 6 between River Run Village and Mountain House.
- Keystone Lodge and Spa – full service luxury hotel and spa located in Lakeside Village.
- Forest Condominiums – the cheapest fully self contained apartments at Keystone located in West Keystone, a 10 to 15 minute shuttle to the slopes.
- Ski Tip Lodge - located in East Keystone, 5 minutes from the lifts, a B&B set in an old stage coach stop with a great reputation for fine dining. Cheaper rooms are available with shared bathrooms.
Some cheaper independent lodging options are on Hwy 6 and include the hotel style Arapahoe Inn and the self contained units of Key To The Rockies. Further afield in Dillon/Silverthorne and Frisco, a multitude of hotel options exist which are generally cheaper than those closer to the hill.
