Sun Peaks Lodging

Sun Peaks has lots of on-mountain accommodation that caters to a range of budgets and requirements. Sun Peaks lodging includes hotels, condos (apartments), townhomes, vacation rentals (houses), and a hostel.

Sun Peaks Accommodation - Main Village

The Sun Peaks village is very quaint with Tyrolean style architecture with colourful facades and gabled roof lines. The main street that runs parallel to the slopes is car free and unlike at some ski resorts where the pedestrian walkways are heated, at Sun Peaks the walkway is snow covered. This adds to the prettiness of the village and also adds to the convenience of getting to the lifts because you can slide down the street on your skis or snowboard, and it’s easy to pull infants along in a toboggan. In addition to shops and restaurants, the main street has various ski-in ski-out hotels, many of which have studios with a kitchenette, or suites with a full kitchen and living room.

Many of the other Sun Peaks lodgings close to the main street are also ski-in ski-out (or very close to it) via specific ski runs for the accommodations.

East Village

The East Village continues to develop. Accommodations found here are typically freestanding houses (vacation rentals) as well as some private condo properties. Many of these accommodations are also ski-in ski-out so there’s convenient access to the slopes, and whilst there are frequent shuttles circulating around Sun Peaks, it’s not as easy to get to the restaurants, shops and other amenities from the East Village.

Burfield

Burfield was the original base area for Sun Peaks. This little hamlet has various privately owned properties, some of which are ski-in ski-out. There are shuttles that connect the Burfield area with the main village.
