Arpa Basecamp Experience - NEW for 2023!

If you are the adventurous type and don't mind roughing it a little, Arpa has a brand new and very exciting offering for 2023!

Instead of staying in a nearby town and driving up to Arpa each day, you will stay right at the base of the ski zone at El Arpa in tents. Bathrooms will be shared and meals will take place in a common area.

This unforgettable package starts with a pickup from either Santiago International Airport or your hotel in Santiago with a transfer to Arpa basecamp 75 miles (108km) northeast of Santiago where you will be based for your epic cat skiing adventure with El Arpa.

The package includes tent-style accommodation with daily breakfast, lunch & dinner.

At Arpa you will experience steep endless descents on untracked snow of up to 1,000 m (3,000 ft), plus you will experience vistas of the highest peak in the Andes; Mt Aconcagua (to the east) and views of the pacific ocean to the west.

After 1 or 2 incredible days of cat skiing (depending which package you book) you will be transferred back to your hotel in Santiago or back to the airport if you are flying out.

If camping in tents is not your thing, check out the Ultimate Ski Arpa Experience>>

CANCELLATIONS by the Company

The Company reserves the right to modify or cancel a tour/trip with justified cause, under the following circumstances:

1.Client's failure to pay the balance in the due date. In this case, cancellation fees apply (please check "Cancellation by the Traveler" section of this document further below).
2. Glove Travel concludes that the safety and/or comfort of clients is put at stake/jeopardized or identifies a problem with a supplier implying the impossibility of operating the program and/or providing a service as initially proposed.

In these cases, Glove Travel will make every effort to reschedule or modify travel arrangements to not alter the nature of the trip. However, any changes may require a supplemental payment from you or result in a refund less any cancellation fees and non-refundable deposits.

3. Force majeure: Impossibility to operate the program due to unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside Glove Travel's control, the consequences of which neither Glove Travel nor its suppliers could avoid, including, but not limited to: war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity (actual or threatened), earthquake, industrial dispute, technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, power failure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood, drought, epidemics and pandemics, adverse weather conditions and level of water in rivers.

If as a result of force majeure, Glove Travel is rendered unable to provide a portion of your holiday after it has commenced and alternative arrangements must be made, the passengers will have to bear any additional cost derived from those arrangements.

In case of expenses being recovered, these will be reimbursable in either cash or credit notes specifying a validity date - this will depend on third party terms & conditions applicable. Glove Travel will not be liable to refund in cash any service operated by a third-party who is extending a credit note or voucher for future services.

In case of refunds, any airline ticket cancellation fees, non-refundable deposits paid to local suppliers and other penalties may apply and be discounted. This refund will constitute full settlement of claims you may have arising out of our cancellation.

Glove Travel will not be liable by any means or reimburse any personal expenses such as airfare, hotel, or other travel arrangements done independently by the client.
By the Traveler: All requests for cancellations must be made in writing via email to Glove Travel. If for any reason you need to cancel your trip, the reservation deposit is returned minus a trip cancellation fee. For this reason, we strongly recommend you purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

During the Trip:

If during the course of the trip you decide for any reason to cancel the whole trip or to realize an altogether change of route, no refunds will be given for the unused services and/or accommodation.
Glove Travel will not grant partial refunds for any unused trip arrangements after the trip has commenced or any refunds to trip members who do not complete any portion of the itinerary. Additionally, cancellation charges for air and train tickets, cruises and others may vary. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

Prior to the Departure Date:

Glove Travel will assess a cancellation charge to cover loss of nonrefundable advance payments we have made on your behalf; communication expenses; and a management fee for the time invested in designing and preparing your trip.
Applicable cancellation charges (please see the table below: 'Cancellation Charges') are calculated with reference to the date on which we receive your cancellation request in writing, and we acknowledge receipt of the same. We incur costs from the time you make your booking, and you agree that if you cancel your booking, you will compensate us for our losses and expenses, as per the table below. Our cancellation charges increase the nearer the cancellation is made to your departure date.

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance cover for cancellation adequate to cover the value of your holiday. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges (please see the 'Travel Insurance' section of this document).

(*) Expenses refer to specific items that require deposits to secure bookings and that are not included in the non- refundable deposit. This may include airlines, hotels, charters and other special services. Please note that these items may have different cancellation terms than those established by Glove Travel, as well as black-out dates with specific policies, all of which shall be duly explained at the moment of the proposal and booking confirmation.

The same cancellation fees apply for partial cancellations of a booking.

Charges related to airline ticket changes and cancellations are subject to the Airline Company's term and conditions. Notwithstanding the type of advance cancellation notice the traveler may give, reservation made for long weekends or Festive Season (High Season, Christmas, New Year?s, Easter) might have non-refundable amounts.
