Solid Ski area

Great snow, great lift system, decent terrain, fun ski town. Breckenridge seemingly has it all. Snow quality, while not deep, was fantastic with light dry powder. I found the intermediate terrain to be somewhat repetitive. The expert terrain is not in great abundance here; and more often than not involves hiking to access. The terrain was also on the tame side when compared to Tahoe and Utah. Nevertheless, Breck is a good ski area and deserves a visit, when combined with nearby Vail.

I went in the new year (2018/2019) - stayed for 10 days, and I think it was very crowded, mainly at the peak 9, where we usually waited 25 minutes to get the quicksilver lift. I stayed at the Village on peak 9, a very convenient place where u can find everything around. The city is beautiful but the restaurants and markets aldo crowded. Once you get the lifts in the middle of the mountain it becomes less crowded. All bars and restaurants were always crowded. The lifts needs also to be updated, most of them are old.

Breck skiing

The skiing was great. Very open and fast. Snow was a bit icy at the end of the season, but better than expected for the respective time of year. It was very windy. Great atmosphere and a great variety of trail types. Excellent extreme slopes and plenty of beginner and intermediate slopes.

We Love Breck

We live south of Denver and come to Breck about once per month on average. Great ski resort, awesome town, value shopping, restaurant varieties, and friendly folks who love mountain living. We own property in Breck and love it.....If your posh, go to Vail or Aspen with the rest of the snobs and leave Breck to us realists!

Service

Lindsey22/12/2015
As my friend and I was riding up the ski-lift her ski fell off her left foot.as we got to the top the man told us to go to services.when we got there the man was rude, and unwilling to help us.he told us that the most he could do is tell patrol to look around and we MAY have it in the morning(even though we were leaving that night)so I suggested that since no one was helping us we could try to hike up half the mountain to get it ourselves.we climbed half of the mountain, found the ski, and then I complained about service to the man and he said “have at it” DEFINITELY not going back to Breckinridge skiing.altgough resort hospices was great.

Family oriented while action packed

This year marks the 3 year anniversary from the first time my family and I have been coming to Breckinridge. This maintain is very family oriented with an overwhelming amount of blue trails on the mountain and nice little restaurants in town, but that doesn't mean a thrill-speaker cant find action in vail too. My mother and I go together and I like to ski much more advanced terrain then her. So in the morning we part ways. But come lunch time, we meet up for lunch at one of the many on mountain dining locations. Then finish the day our separate ways. Once you rise above the initial tree line you come across acres and acres of expert terrain. Although most of them tracked, you can always find hidden powder stashes. Once you have been there a week you have still yet to experience everything, so my final words are that its great to bring a family, but an evenly great place to test your skiing limits as well.

Super. Duper. MEH-sauce.

We went here 3X over a two year period. Snow always sucks. Crowds always suck. Lines are always long. Just really not that cool, even when staying in town (close enough to ski to the lift). The town itself is pretty cool, but for the price? Um no.

Caught the right conditions at Breck

Went to CO for a long week with my wife and hit up a A-Basin, Vail, Breck, Keystone, and did backcountry with Vale Powder Guides and Keystone Powder Guides.

Our last day was at Breckenridge, and we got really lucky. It snowed 14" the day before (we were at A-Basin) and it was blue bird skies with fresh powder by the next day at Breckenridge. We like the hikable terrain at the top with the nicely filled in chutes and deep powder. The lift situation to get to the top required a T bar which was not great since there would occasionally be novices who would fall off halfway up the lift and knock you off your T bar. If it wasn't for the military discount, this place would be expensive.
