Ski Ride Tours - Powder Hunt Trip

This is the closest to a guarantee of powder that you’ll find anywhere. Tours have averaged 3 to 6 feet of powder each week of a tour! After 20 years of planning and leading tours around the globe, Ski Ride Tours has a new plan. Instead of planning and choosing the destinations months in advance, like most skiers and riders do...hoping they get good snow, Ski Ride pre-sets their trip weeks, but chooses the destination/s 3-4 days prior to departure based on where the best snow is going to fall! No more paying good dough for crappy snow!

"Sure, ski weeks are great, but if there isn't going to be fresh powder, you'd be better off staying home and save your money for the next powder week!"

So if you're addicted to powder and can handle the mystery and anticipation of where you're going to ski until the last minute, then you should consider joining a Ski Ride Tours Powder Hunt Trip.

How It Works

For Ski Ride, it's all about the Powder, not the destination.
#1 priority for our ski weeks is the Best Powder conditions available each week.
#2 priority is a great ski destination with amazing terrain.

They don't want anyone to ski or ride on crappy snow! They track the storms ... you ink it on your calendar and tell your boss, spouse, whoever that you'll be gone that week ... then they announce the destination/s 3-4 days prior and shred powder together!

Ski Ride Tours chooses its destinations based on the best powder conditions expected for each trip week. They also consider mountain resort stats, including: inbound acreage, vertical drop, current base depth at mid-mountain AND other variables such as expected temperature for quality powder and access to side/slack country and SnowCat and Heli-skiing options and availability. Most skiing is in-bounds at resorts, though options may be available for side-country, Snowcat or Heli-skiing. Again, they have over 20 years of planning and on-mountain experience. They know how to plan for and deliver an amazing powder skiing/boarding trip!

Last Season, Ski Ride Tours delivered 3 Epic Trips:
- Whistler/Blackcomb, BC - almost 3 feet of new snow during the beginning of January
- Niseko & Furano, Japan - 3-4 feet during the end of January
- Jackson Hole, WY - over 6 feet in late February!

Based on availability, SRT's first goal is to be at the base of the mountain in a nice large home or condos. 2nd choice is hotel rooms. Accommodations are always 3 star+ with each customer having their own bed. Amenities typically include wifi, private showers and hot tubs in or close by.

Depending on the destination and forecast, you may stay at one base area with access to 1-4 resorts OR you may lodge at no more than 2 areas in one week. SRT don't like their guests having to unpack and pack multiple times. Ie. Whistler & Jackson Hole - one base, 2 resorts, Revelstoke & Kicking Horse - 2 bases, 2 resorts, Red Mountain & Revelstoke - 2 bases, 3 resorts, Aspen - one base, 3-4 resorts.

Getting Around

Once at the destination airport, SRT use a combination of deluxe private SUV's and local town transport depending on the destination and the location of your lodgings.
