Castle Mountain Cat Skiing Weekend

The ultimate powder experience. Join Mountain Movements for their “Catskiing Weekend” where ripping down the slopes is the main focus; riding the best lines, on the best snow, at Alberta's snowiest resort.

This 2 day cat-skiing weekend will highlight the best of Castle Mountain. A place most have never been, with those who have wanting more. A day of cat skiing paired with a resort day makes for the perfect winter weekend. The perfect introduction to the kind of riding usually reserved for ski movies. Mountain Movements are out to show people that your ultimate trip is one click of the enquiry button away. Their mission statement is simple, “Do it right”. This cat-skiing weekend package makes something that seemed impossible a reality; an affordable intro into deep snow with unmatched hospitality .

Who can join this tour? This is a mixed group tour so you can join as a solo traveller, couple/small group.

Anyone can join. Only 14 spots are available so numbers are the only restriction.

Private van along with private accommodations and private cat makes it perfect for groups.

The locationCastle Mountain Resort is tucked away in Alberta. Most people drive past and go to Fernie, BC without even knowing it exists. This makes for a perfect weekend away. Lift lines are a rarity with “cold smoke”/ dry powder a regular occurrence. Famous for some of the driest snow in the business as well as being Albert’s snowiest resort, Castle will impress. Castle is famous for its wide range of terrain and the best fall line in the country. Deep snow, warming hospitality and smiles everywhere you look; what more do you want?

Ability This tour is best from intermediate to advanced. Castle Mountain is great for all abilities however it is recommended to be a competent rider for catskiing. Deep powder can be a lot of hard work so basic skiing/boarding skills are a necessity.

Terrain Terrain at the resort is all inbounds ranging from the best beginner terrain to some hair raising chutes and cliffs. This resort is so underrated!!

Cat-skiing is considered to be controlled back country riding. The necessary safety equipment will be provided with instruction etc.

Guiding & hostingThe tour is hosted for the entirety of the journey. The tour is a max of 14 people, with 2-3 guides.

Guide duties include the following:

  • Driving you around.
  • Guiding you on and off the resort. A combo of the guides and local mountain hosts show you the parts you want to ride making sure you never miss out.
  • Guiding is not just limited to skiing/boarding. It starts at breakfast and goes into the night.

You can choose to ski/board with your guide and the rest of the group or by yourself at any time.
