Furano/Central Hokkaido Day Guiding

If you are based in or near Furano and you are looking for a guided off-piste/lift-access sidecountry adventure, Furano Ski Tours could be your answer.

Choose from any of the following locations (or FST might recommend the best place on the day based on snow conditions); Furano, Kamui, Tomamu, Sahoro or Asahidake.

Private Groups

These tours are for private groups only i.e. you cannot join a group as a solo/couple/small group. The minimum number for a group is 2 however the optimum number in terms of price per person is 6. Tours in Furano itself cost less than tours to other ski areas due to the need for a vehicle to get to the other areas.

This tour is for skiers/boarders who are intermediate to advanced level in powder.

Equipment Required

Avalanche safety equipment is a requirement as this tour focuses on lift-accessed skiing off-piste and backcountry terrain. Those without avalanche safety equipment can rent an avi pack from FST. Fat skis and long wide snowboards are recommended for skiing deep powder. Powder snowboard rentals are also available.

Your tour starts when your friendly guide picks you up from your accommodation nice and early in our comfy 4WD van.

Once at the destination the guide will arrange lift tickets if needed and provide instructions on the use of avalanche gear if being used (required for Furano and Asahidake). Then it`s time for your guide to lead you in and out of the trees all day giving you the best powder runs without the worries of getting lost, stuck or having long walkouts.

After an awesome day on the mountain your guide will drive you back to your accommodation.

This package doesn't include lodging however you can search for and book accommodation online here>>
