Heli skiing / boarding in Wanaka is one of the Powderhounds' favourite things to do! With over 40 years of experience, the heli operations in Wanaka know how to run a spectacular show. The best days of your week will be chosen for heli skiing based on snow conditions and weather.
In between heli days, you may explore a different ski area or you and your guide may choose to revisit a resort you have already been to. The choice each day will be based on weather and snow conditions as well as customer feedback. You will visit some or all 3 of the best ski areas around Wanaka including Treble Cone, Cardrona and Ohau.
Each day you will be picked up by your local host in a 4x4 vehicle and whisked up to the mountain of choice for the day or to the heli staging area. Your host will spend the day with you (or you can go off and do your own thing) showing you the best of each ski area and if you're well behaved they might even show you some of their secret powder stashes.

*There is 1 day allocated for a day off to take a rest or do other things however this will most likely be decided based on which days are best to ski.
Ability
This tour is for skiers & boarders who are strong-intermediate or better. If you can turn confidently on a black run you should be able to handle the powder out heli skiing / boarding.
Lodging
This package includes deluxe hotel or apartment accommodation depending on what your group requires. There are other options for accommodation so please ask when you send a request if you are looking for something more budget oriented.
Packages can be customised from 3 or more days for singles, couples, small and larger PRIVATE groups.

Extras
This sample package includes a day to do an off-mountain activity as there is so much to do in the area such as heli skiing, jet boating, wine tasting, sightseeing or one of the many adventure activities in and near Queenstown. Or you can just add on another day on the mountain if you prefer.
