This was a great trip! I researched some other tour options, but am glad I chose this one! Chile was having a difficult snow season, but no worries Gomez was able to adjust the trip on short order to get us into some great conditions. Him and his crew are top notch. They are keyed into the mountains, local culture and businesses so have you covered the whole time. I had a blast with the whole gang; guides and guests. If / when you go spend some time in Santiago.

Skiing in the Andes had been on my “bucket list.” After skiing six days with CASA Tours it’s now on my “how soon can I go back?” list. The above tree line skiing on the slopes of volcanic peaks was great. Lift stats don’t tell the story of these mountains. The lifts are just the gateways to these big, open mountains.

Thanks to Gomez’s deep local knowledge and relationships, the after ski activities and meals were memorable too. Best of all was spending time with the experienced and interesting guides and other guests.

CASA Tours works well for anyone from solid intermediate to serious advanced. Be sure to spend a day or two in Santiago as well.

Best trip of my life! David really knows how to lead a group to fully learn and embrace a culture in which I had never experienced before. From showing us around the mountains and making the call to switch up locations to the perfect restaurants and pubs to enjoy a post ski meal! Very professional crew and very fun all around!

This was my second CASA trip with my son, and once again we had a blast. It didn't hurt that a major system blew in off the Atlantic two days in. Gomez (owner) and his guides (Ro and Anna) know these mountains well and guided us into some truly epic freshies in open powder fields. They really go out of their way to make sure your experience on, and off, the mountain is fun and positive. They led us to some great spots to enjoy apre and great chilean food. Logistically, everything went smooth. It was stress free, from meeting us at the airport in Santiago and getting us on a connecting flight down to Corralco, to setting us up in a beautiful hotel in Santiago our last night, and getting us to the airport the next day.

Bottom line, CASA will take care of you and maximize your fun as much as possible. Thanks again CASA.

My kids and I talked about summer skiing in Chile for years before we finally headed south. The CASA Tours team's hard work made the trip all that we hoped it would be and more. Our adventure began with Gomez, Anna, Ro and Marcello as our diligent able guides and ended with them as our true friends and travel companions. From forgotten boots to "tragic accidents" on the Roca Jack lift at Portillo, team CASA Tours was always there to smooth over all the potential bumps in the road. Anyone considering an adventure ski vacation should do themselves a favor, book with CASA Tours and prepare for a trip that exceeds their expectations.

This was my first trip with Casa Tours, and was a blast. Gomez, who runs Casa, does a great job of adding a personal touch to everything from the lodging, to restaurants, and of course the skiing. We got a really authentic experience at places the average tourist would never think to go, and excellent and professional guiding on the mountains.

The trip was in mid-August and we got great snow conditions, thanks to flexibility in planning where we went for which days. Cat skiing at Arpa made the trip to Chile worth it on it's own! Along with Gomez, we also had 2 other world-class guides which kept the guide-guest ratio somewhere around 3 and allowed us to get exactly what we wanted out of the trip. Such a low ratio seems pretty unheard of elsewhere!

Overall a great trip, and would have no hesitations recommending Casa to anyone interested in a great skiing/snowboarding trip.

This wasn’t my second trip with Casa tours. The founder Gomez really has the place dialed in from food and lodging to the right side country to ride given any conditions. The trip takes you off the beaten path to mountains most wouldn’t hit their first time including Chilan and the surreal cat skiing at Arpa. Highly recommended...I’ve done it twice!

Chile - Ski There and Back Again Soon.

Chile is amazing place to ski. It should be experienced once, twice or as many times as possible by every skier.

It is a very easy flight right into Santiago on the same Eastern time zone. Casa Tours is waiting for you right at airport and the fun starts.

After a stop for outdoor cafe lunch and some site seeing in Santiago, the next stop is a Chilean Winery on the way to Portillo. Wine in Chile is unbelievable. Inexpensive, organic and the best vintages. it has no sulfates in it so you drink as much as you desire without hang over effects. You spend the first night a Villa in the town closest to Portillo and get to meet everyone.

On the way up to Portillo, you will see the Chilean people sledding by the side of the road. Snow seems to be a mystery to most of the people in Chile. Portillo Is probably the most famous to Americans of all south american ski resorts. The scenery is beautiful. Portillo has a mixture of traditional lifts serving groom runs, pommel horses serving steeper terrain and some boot backing for the high adventure decent. On snowy days, it rocks! Take an afternoon apres ski into the bar and hot tub.

After a night of more Chilean wine and a great catered dinner, it is off to Ski Arpa. Sk Arpa is like no place ski resort that I have ever seen. It is a cat skiing resort. You ski totally on untracked areas. They open up new section each time just for Casa tours. The cat takes you up to the top of a peak. You hike a small distance and presto there is the best looking snow you will ever see. Ski Arpa was just one day but became my favorite resort in the world.

After Ski Arpa, you return to Santiago for a night on the town starting with some of the best Sushi you will find anywhere. With the length of Chile’s coast line, it is one of the best places to get fresh fish and therefore one of the best places for sushi in the world. You can say out late this night because the next day is a travel day to Nevados De Chile.

After catching up on your sleep from the late night before, you get to see a lot of the beautiful Chilean countrysideon the journey to Nevados De Chile. The lunch stop is gourmet 5 star white table cloth meal at a winery. You want to make sure stock up the inexpensive wines and other spirits in their store for the rest of the trip. You will want to bring an extra suite case to bring some home.

Nevados De Chile is a resort where the runs are where the groomers decide that day to run their machines that day. Everything else is untracked power. It has the best lift service of any of the resort we visited. It is the closest to an American resort and even has a Casino. Its some best in bounds powder and hike to terrain anywhere. We spent three days there and never got tired of it. The apes ski is great too. We spent the nights talking, drinking, eating, dancing, swimming and whatever else you can imagine.

On the last day when it was time leave for the airport, you were saying goodbye to great friends.

On a personal note. I came to Chile because I loved to ski. I booked it about a month out while I was really busy at work. I was not necessary in the best shape at the time or had the best gear. I was completely honest with Casa Tours about all this before hand. The group that I was with all happened to be exceptional skiers. Casa tours took great care of me. Kept me safe. Pushed my ability level. Gave me one on one guiding when I needed it and made sure i had great time. It opened my eyes to a whole new realm of skiing. I have since lost 30 pounds, am in better shape, upgraded my gear and am going back to Chile this year. Stay tuned for my next review.

You should book for this year right now!

I have had the pleasure of attending not only the Condor Classic but several of CASA Tours' trips in Chile and Argentina and I would highly recommend CASA Tours.

SKiEO Dave "Gomez" Johnson along with his guides provide a superb opportunity to enjoy amazing ski locations while taking care of all your needs including transportation, itinerary, dining, nightlife, while facilitating a great camaraderie with the guests.

If you seek a unique skiing experience while enjoying the benefits of local knowledge in the Andes and meeting great people with similar interests, you owe it to yourself to book a trip with CASA Tours.

I have traveled with CASA tours quite a bit. It has grown in to an extended family. Mr. Johnson (ski.e.o.) mentioned the Condor Classic trip that he had put together. I could not turn it down. It has days at the top destinations in northern Chile. Good Times! Looking forward to the next CASA adventure!
