White Tree Lodge is a boutique lodge at the base of Tangram Ski Resort (interconnected with Madarao Ski Resort) which offers affordable rooms with ensuite bathroom, for up to 4 guests. Hosted by a Japanese & Kiwi couple, they can get you dialled into the local area and provide advice on activities and other potential ski resorts to hit up.

Where is White Tree Lodge?

White Tree Lodge is located in the quiet Furumi Village in Shinano, only 3 minutes walk from the slopes of Tangram Ski Circus, which is interconnected via the lifts and runs with Madarao Mountain Resort.

The hosts provide free arrival/departure transfers to/from Madarao Kogen Hotel, Myoko Kogen train station, or Kurohime station.

The Tangram area is well located to visit various other ski resorts for day trips including Nozawa Onsen, Myoko Kogen ski areas, Shiga Kogen ski areas, plus others. You may wish to rent a car at Iiyama train station so you have the flexibility to sample lots of ski resorts and visit local attractions or the snow monkeys.
