Up-Guides are doing things right, I had a great time with them. They held a 3-day long ski-touring workshop with people from all over the world, where we were taught itinerary planning, avalanche safety, terrain reading, and technique. Workshop participants made our their own trips and one of the guides came with each group to ensure safety, but left the navigation to the participants. Learnt a lot! On the other days we did ski tours all over the valley, the guides will take you around beautiful and secluded places.
