Red Mountain Lodging

Red Mountain Lodging

It’s a tricky choice regarding Red Mountain accommodation and whether to stay on-mountain at Red Resort, or to stay in one of the Rossland hotels down in the old gold-mining town (about 5 mins drive away). Both have their advantages. On-mountain Red Mountain accommodation options are conveniently located very close to the lifts, and some properties are ski-in ski-out. Or the pretty town has a small range of accommodations including a few Rossland hotels, and the town has more shops, restaurants and bars than on-mountain.

During winter, if you don’t have a car there is a shuttle service that runs between Red Mountain Resort and Rossland town.

On-Mountain Lodging

Families might prefer the convenience of on-mountain Red Mountain accommodation and staying slopeside at Red Resort, or anyone else that wants easy access to the slopes. The village at Red Mountain is small and cute, with very tasteful architecture. Red Mountain accommodation includes a ski-in ski-out hotel, condos, lodges, houses and a hostel. Many Red Resort accommodations are ski in and not ski out, but they are only a short walk to the lift base.

Rossland Accommodation

Rossland accommodation provide an alternative to Red Mountain lodging. You can stay in the old gold mining town of Rossland which is about 4km from Red Resort. It’s only a small town, but it is delightfully pretty and the culture of the locals is fabulously laid-back. Compared with the “village” at the base of the resort, the town of Rossland has a little more variety in the way of dining, nightlife, and shopping options. Rossland accommodation includes hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts. The bus to/from the Red Mountain ski resort stops at the Prestige Hotel, the Flying Steamshovel Inn, and near Rossland Red Mt Inn and Suites.
