Wolfs Den Lodge
Wolf’s Den Lodge Review
The Wolf Den’s Lodge is a great option if you don’t need luxury and are keen to stay on-mountain at
Fernie Alpine Resort. This budget hotel / lodge has basic rooms, but they have plenty of space and the lodge has various facilities and amenities.
Where is the Wolf Den’s Lodge?
The Wolf Den’s Lodge is located at Fernie Alpine Resort, just a stone’s throw from the centre of the village. Wolf’s Den Lodge is ski-in and almost ski-out, with a 1-2 minute walk up a little hill to get to the ticket office and the lifts.
Lodge/Hotel Rooms
The lodge rooms are large and have two double beds with basic manchester. Other décor and furnishings are also simple. The rooms have a private bathroom as well as a TV, coffee maker and a small fridge. However there is no crockery or glasses so unless you BYO dishes, the fridge and coffee maker are somewhat superfluous. Attention to detail in regards to the cleaning of the rooms was definitely not evident.
Hotel Facilities
Wolf’s Den Lodge has a couple of communal lounge areas that can be good to meet some fellow travellers. The two indoor hot tubs are also a social hub of the lodge, and are great to soak the fatigued muscles after a hard day out on the slopes. Communal laundry facilities are available for a fee.
The lack of wireless internet access is a bit of a problem for those who want to stay connected with the world. One of the lounge areas had one computer with internet access, but the internet was painfully slow.
Dining
The lodge has no breakfast or dinner on offer, but the lodge is right near the central village eateries and Gabriella’s.
