Jackson Hole Accommodations
The Jackson Hole area has a plethora of accommodation available including hotels, motels, lodges, vacation rentals, cabins, condos and a couple of backpackers hostels. There’s something to suit all budgets. The biggest decision will be whether to stay in Teton Village at the base of
Jackson Hole, or in the town of Jackson, at Snow King ski resort, or somewhere a little out of town.
Teton Village Hotels
Teton Village at the base of the ski hill has about 11 accommodations ranging from luxury resort hotels to a hostel. Many of the accommodations are ski-in ski-out or close to it, and Teton Village is the place to stay if you want to maximise your time on the snow or you want convenience. Nightlife, dining and shopping opportunities are limited in Teton Village, so a couple of visits to the town of Jackson may be required during your stay to minimise cabin fever. Another potential downside to Teton Village is the cost. Other than The Hostel, accommodations in the village are generally in the upmarket budget category and a couple fit into the “splurge” class.
The slope-side
Teton Mountain Lodge is ski-in and just a few steps to get to the ski lifts. This delightful resort hotel offers lodge rooms and suites, and lots of facilities such as a fine dining restaurant and spa. See our

Another example of a Teton Village hotel is the Snake River Lodge and Spa. This property has a great location with ski in access, and a high standard of accommodation. The premier Teton Village hotel is probably the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, a luxurious resort with lots of great facilities.
Other Teton Village Lodging
The Hostel provides very affordable lodging and surprisingly it’s in a fantastic location at the base of the mountain. They offer private rooms with private bathrooms as well as 4 person shared bunk rooms, also with private bathroom. The common areas are a fantastic place to mingle with like-minded people from all around the world.
Other accommodation options include the Teton Village Condominiums as well as various Jackson Hole vacation rentals.
Hotels Jackson and Motels Jackson
Fifteen minutes away is the town of Jackson. Jackson has great bus links with the ski resort and offers a wider range of accommodation options and more budget selections. Jackson also has the advantage of providing a wider range of dining, nightlife and shopping options.
Jackson has the classic Wild West architecture including western saloons, wooden sidewalks, and a few hitching posts. The town has a great cowboy atmosphere, although many of the people that grace the streets fit into the wealthy cowboy or cowgirl category.
Jackson has a range of hotels. One example is the elegantly historic Wort Hotel which is centrally located. Jackson also has various budget motels such as the 4 Winds Motel, Super 8 Motel and Motel 6.
Other Accommodations for Jackson Hole
The Snow King Ski Area right on the edge of Jackson (part of the town really) has its own hotel and condos, and is a good place for families in particular to stay.
The other option is to stay at the
Grand Targhee ski resort which is located well enough for day trips to Jackson Hole. Alternatively the nearby town of Driggs, Idaho, has lots of cheap accommodation available.
