Accommodation
Lodging at The Canyons resort is somewhat limited, but is of great quality and is conveniently located slope-side. Some visitors to The Canyons stay in Park City which is only a few kilometres away, and is easily accessed by a free shuttle service. There is more variety of lodgings in Park City as well as nightlife, dining and shopping opportunities.
The Canyons Lodging
The main part of the village primarily consists of three large slopeside hotels and the Westgate building, all of which are only a short walk to the gondola (see the
village map). The village has all the necessary facilities, but it lacks a bit of character. The lower parts of the village feature private condos and homes, whilst the upper parts of the resort within the skiing area have luxurious private mansions.
The
Grand Summit Resort Hotel is exquisite and has luxurious hotel rooms, studios and multi-bedroom suites. It features many facilities including the outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs, a restaurant, bistro, lounges, games room and its own shuttle bus. Its close proximity to the gondola is fantastic but it’s not ski-in ski-out. This building houses some resort facilities including a sundries shop and the child care centre.
On the opposite side of the village, but only a stone’s throw away is the
Sundial Lodge. This casual yet upmarket property offers guestrooms and 1-2 bedroom condominiums with kitchens. Amenities include roof top hot tubs. Nearby is the
Silverado Lodge which is an upscale condo hotel. The walk to the gondola is a little further than the other hotels, but it’s only a 5 minute walk. Silverado Lodge has hotel rooms and 2-3 bedroom suites. Amenities include a heated swimming pool and a shuttle service.
Other accommodations include the
Escala Lodges,
The Vintage on the Strand,
The Miners Club and the
Westgate Resort.

Park City Accommodations
Generally the accommodation at The Canyons is very pricy. As an alternative, a large range of
Park City hotels can be found nearby although the downtown area can also be rather expensive. There is one budget option near Park City Mountain Resort (Chateau Apres), and various chain hotels on the outskirts of Park City. Those without a car can use the free public buses or taxis to commute to The Canyons.
