Accommodation
Snowbasin has no on-mountain accommodation, which is somewhat surprising considering the extravagant day lodge infrastructure. There are very long term plans to build accommodation at the base of the resort, so get there and ski it before the development and accompanying ski hordes descend upon this piece of ski heaven. In the meantime the closest accommodations are in the Upper Ogden Valley.
Ogden and Upper Ogden Valley Accommodation
The Upper Ogden Valley is a rural area with pretty undulating farmland and the Pineview Reservoir at its centre. Most accommodation options are within the small towns of Huntsville, Eden (including the Wolf Creek Resort accommodation) and Liberty. Accommodation in all these areas is very inexpensive relative to Park City and the Cottonwood Canyons areas.
The closest accommodation to Snowbasin is at Lakeside Village which is not a town so much as a collection of luxurious condos such as the Edgewater Condos.
Huntsville is the closest town to Snowbasin. One example of lodgings here is the
Jackson Fork Inn which has inexpensive bed and breakfast style accommodation.
There are lots of accommodation options in nearby Eden and the associated Wolf Creek Resort. Eden is a small town with a supermarket, a few shops, and various restaurants. Accommodations include condos, town-homes and freestanding luxury vacation homes. For those who don’t need multiple bedrooms, the
Red Moose Lodge is absolutely perfect. They have king bedrooms or luxury suites, and have good amenities. See our

It is also possible to stay in the city of Ogden only 28km away. Ogden has the advantage of a greater range of non-alpine activities, shops, restaurants and bars. There are various chain motels and hotels that provide great value accommodation including Days Inn, Holiday Inn and Comfort Inn. The best quality accommodation in Ogden is the Hampden Inn and Suites.
Powder Mountain Accommodation
For those who plan to also ski at Powder Mountain, the other option is to stay on-mountain at Pow Mow. The various ski-in ski-out condos are very family oriented, and hotel style accommodation is available at the very conveniently located
Columbine Inn.
