Activities & Tours
Non-alpine activities at Brighton are limited. Things to do in the area are primarily located at the nearby Solitude ski resort.
Ski and Snowboard Tours and Activities
Brighton offers regular avalanche training awareness nights. Due to the frequency of young dudes setting off avalanches in the backcountry, the education sessions are primarily targeted at the young folk, but all are welcome. They often have some arrangement where a complimentary lift pass is provided as an incentive for attendance.
Guided tours of the Solitude backcountry areas are run by the Solitude patrollers. The
Backtracks tours are outside the resort boundaries and provide lots of opportunities for finding fresh snow. The tours include a lift ticket, avalanche transceiver, backpack, heel adapters or snowshoes, climbing skins, snacks and lunch at the Creekside Restaurant.
Solitude also has Nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails that originate from the village. Rental equipment is available at the Powderhorn Building (Solitude village).
Family Activities
Solitude has an ice skating rink in the centre of the village. Skates can be rented from the Powderhorn Adventure Centre.
RelaxationThe
Inn at Solitude has a day spa, the Essentials Spa. Various treatments are available including facials and massage packages.
