Mammoth Lodging – Slopeside

The Mammoth Mountain Inn has an incredibly convenient ski-in ski-out location opposite Main Lodge (the main day lodge) at the base of a few chair lifts. This old Mammoth Mountain hotel has been renovated and provides a range of hotel rooms and condos, and amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, restaurant, bar and ski valet. Child care facilities are on-site and ski school is just over at Main Lodge. It’s all too easy!

Over at the Eagle Lodge base area of the ski resort is the Juniper Springs Resort. Juniper Springs has deluxe studios and 1 and 2 bedroom condos, and facilities such as a pool and hot tubs. This Mammoth lodging is incredibly popular with families due to the ski-in ski-out convenience, the nearby kids ski school, and the abundance of mellow slopes in the area. The resort runs an on-demand shuttle if you want to head into town for dinner, but most folks stay in and cook at their condo.

Mammoth Lakes Lodging

The town of Mammoth Lakes provides a raft of other lodging such as resort hotels, inexpensive hotels, motels and condos. The advantage of staying in town is that it provides good access to the restaurants and bars in Main Street and Old Mammoth Rd, and Mammoth Lakes lodging tends to offer many more affordable options. There is a free and regular bus service that connects Mammoth Lakes to the Village and to the slopes.

Other Mammoth Lodging

For something very different, you could stay at the historic and rustically charming Tamarack Lodge. It’s located a little way out of town (about 4 miles), and a 2.7 mile drive to the Eagle base of the ski resort, and provides immediate access to a series of cross country ski trails. The old world charm of this hotel extends to the fine dining restaurant on-site. See all Mammoth Mountain lodging here >>
