Shopping
Valle Nevado has various small shops, many of which are within a mini-mall between Hotel Del Puerto Sol and Hotel Valle Nevado. As the shops are small and they only have a limited range of goods, it can be hard to find what you’re looking for. And don’t expect any bargains at Valle Nevado. Most clothing and equipment is more expensive than in North America.
Ski and Snowboard Equipment and Clothing
Valle Nevado has several mountain-wear and ski/board shops. The pick up the bunch is the very cool Burton shop that sells fabulous outerwear. The small Billabong shop also has fantastically colourful ski and snowboard clothing.
There is very limited hardwear available at Valle Nevado. If you are after skis, boots or a board, you’ll have more shopping opportunities in Santiago.
The Valle Nevado signature store on the ground floor of the Hotel Puerto Del Sol sells some quality outerwear from Salomon and Spyder, and under layers and ski and board accessories, but the range is very limited.
Souvenir Shopping
The Valle Nevado shop is the place to get souvenirs to remind you of your stay. They sell logo clothing such as shell jackets and t-shirts (some with fantastic bling on them), as well as other knick-knacks including coffee thermoses, mugs and fridge magnets.
Grocery Shopping
Valle News is a tiny stall selling magazines, papers, snacks and a few general sundries. If you need groceries, you’ll need to buy them in Santiago before arriving at Valle Nevado.
