Where is Andes Heliboarding Located?

Andes Heliboarding offers a variety of heli-base options in and around the Santiago area, with heli skiing taking place in the Central Cordillera zone of the Andes (from July to September). In November, Andes Heliboarding moves its operation to the Patagonia Lakes district afloat the luxury motor yacht.

The Santiago Benitez International Airport is easily accessible with lots of flight options from United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Access to the Patagonia Lakes destination is via Puerto Montt which is located a 1:45 hour flight south of Santiago (or a 10 hour drive).

Andes Heliboarding Terrain & Snow

The Central Cordillera area is characterized by exceptional snowfall, snow conditions and terrain profile. Upper altitudes range from an amazing 3,800 meters to 4,500 meters, and thanks to such high elevations, the snow is generally light and fluffy. The Andes also have the benefit of a maritime snowpack which provides the stability to tackle some of the magnificent terrain. The heli skiing runs are generally super long with vertical descents of 1,500 metres to 2,300 metres depending on snow conditions.
