	This is a great tour for you powder addicts. Warm up at Mt Hutt, Heli ski the Arrowsmiths and a day at Heli Park plus visit the fabulous club fields of Craigieburn & Broken River. Overview Ski or snowboard some of the best terrain in the southern hemisphere on this amazing 7 night ‘middle earth’ guided powder tour.

Staying in the picturesque town of Methven, you will have the best of all worlds. Ride the impressive Mt Hutt for two days to find your legs then head off to the steep tight chutes of Craigieburn, followed by a session in the powder bowls of Broken River.

You’ll then experience a day you’ll never forget at HeliPark riding 660Ha of incredible backcountry terrain. You pick your own lines, you decide how many runs. Top that off with a 5 run Methven Heli day exploring 3 mountain ranges with 200 named runs dropping an average 850+ meters of vert. This is a side of NZ that few get to experience.

You will be staying in comfortable 3 star twin/triple share accommodation in the heart of Methven. With bars, restaurants and shopping all in a short walk you’ll come to love this quaint country town. Each room has it’s own bathroom and all the comforts of home. Daily continental Breakfast is included.

ItineraryDay 1
Be met at Christchurch Airport by your Whiteroom Tours guide and transfer to Methven. Settle into your comfortable accommodation and get ready to head out for your welcome dinner party.

Day 2 - 3
Get up early for your first two days at Mt Hutt

Day 4
Weather permitting you will be taken to the Methven Heli launch pad for your ultimate heli day - lunch included. If the weather doesn’t want to cooperate we will push this day to later in the trip and head to Cragieburn for the day.

Day 5
Day tour to either Broken River or Cragieburn depending on weather.

Day 6
Weather permitting we will drive to the launch pad for Heli Park where you’ll spend the day dropping which ever line or hits you choose. Ride as many runs as you like! Lunch included.

Day 7
Day tour to either Broken River or Craigieburn depending on weather.

Day 8
Time to say goodbye and take a jet plane back to reality

NOTE: This itinerary is an example. The tour will be run largely by the weather and each day will fit around where the best conditons are. We may head to Olympus, Porters, Cheeseman too. This is the beauty of such a tour.

Ability Your skiing or boarding level must be intermediate or above (except for the Advanced only tours)

Intermediate and above - requires that you should be able to get down easy black runs confidently and have intermediate ability in powder (high-intermediate or very keen/athletic/fit if skiers). Both Broken River and Craigeburn have nutcracker tow ropes which are difficult to master especially for snowboarders. If you are a snowboarder you need to be of high-intermedite ability and very keen to master these lifts.
