Since 2005, Santiago Adventures has been offering snowcat and helicopter
skiing programs in Chile.
This package provides great flexibility to optimize your
heli days in the event of bad weather. We have the best Plan B with
South America’s only snowcat resort.
Day 1 –
Arrival in Chile and transfer to
Hacienda
Casa San Regis. Take a step back in time and surround yourself
with history in this 19th-century hacienda. This former manor home of an
expansive 40,000 acre estate, Casa San Regis is now a bed &
breakfast, with six rooms and capacity for up to 15 persons, offering
comfortable accommodations with an antique flair. Your Chilean hosts,
Marcela and Alexis, offer warm hospitality and personalized service,
often joining guests for dinner and giving insight into local culture
and history. The roaring fireplace in the living room is an excellent
place to sit and enjoy après ski after a long day of skiing.
Day 2 –
Cat Skiing: Adventure in
the shadow of Aconcagua. Fantastic views of the Aconcagua (the highest
peak outside the Himalayas) await us on top of
Valle El Arpa. A warm-up
day at South America’s only snowcat resort. We’ll have approximately
12,000 feet of vertical of guided skiing.
Day 3, 4, 5 –
Heli Skiing in the amazing
Central North heli zone. This is all new terrain and opened up by
Santiago Adventures as an alternative to the more saturated zones
surrounding Tres Valles and Cajon del Maipo.
Day 6 –
Cat Skiing: we return
to Valle El Arpa for a full day of cat skiing. We’re sure you’ll agree
that this is the best way to wrap up an amazing week of skiing and
riding in the Andes. Après ski at Refugio Avalancha is the spot to share
your skiing adventures with skiers from around the world.
Day 7 –
Departure day. If you’ve been lucky
enough to have used your entire vertical we’ll spend the day relaxing
and visiting one of the internationally-recognized Chilean wineries
located in the valley. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon for your
flight home.
