High Earnings

On the High Earnings Tour the aim is to go high by earning your turns in the backcountry. The tour will head to the Daisetsuzan region and other remote locations across Hokkaido Japan. The High Earnings Tour is a fully customisable tour for PRIVATE GROUPS.

Join Rising Sun Guides for an epic backcountry ski / split board adventure to untracked lines across the island of Hokkaido. Over the course of this trip, you'll move locations regularly and stay in some of Hokkaido's less travelled areas. Weather permitting, the aim is to head into the backcountry and put skins on for at least some portion of all days, but you'll still be positioned within reach of ski resorts in case conditions aren't well suited to ski touring/split boarding or the group is keen from some lift accessed skiing. In general though, accommodation locations have been selected for their proximity to awesome backcountry touring zones… and for being off the beaten track.

The itinerary is just a sample to provide a concept and price, but there are a lot of different ways to ski Hokkaido and this trip can be longer or shorter, visit more/less areas, take a different route etc. Just let RSGs know about your group, skiing interests, how much time you have and they'll put together a custom itinerary that fits your requirements.

Ability & Equipment

This tour is for skiers / snowboarders who are advanced to expert. You should have experience in skiing powder and riding steep, technical runs and tight trees, and backcountry touring.

Avalanche safety kit and ski touring or splitboarding equipment is required for all multi-day trips. Equipment rentals are available - let us know if you have any questions.
