Join other families on this Queenstown family package, and take all the hassle out of your snow holiday. At NZ Snow Tours they understand that planning a family snow holiday can be a time-consuming and stressful process. Leave it in the hands of the experts and they will deliver a self-contained family holiday to suit your requirements.

Whether you want all day ski-school for your children, private lessons for Mum & Dad, baby sitting services, or something as simple as dinner bookings - NZ Snow Tours have it covered.

The Queenstown family package takes in the two closest ski areas to downtown Queenstown. Coronet Peak has wide, rolling trails groomed to perfection and is regularly boosted with snowmaking. The Remarkables had awesome new terrain open up in 2014 set amongst its craggy peaks and accessed by the new Curvey Basin 6-seater chair. There is also the option of traveling further afield over the Crown Range Road to Cardrona, which never disappoints with its three separate basins providing the ideal terrain for all members of the family.

*Please note children must be at least 8 years old to join a family hosted tour. NZ Snow Tours have found that children under 8 years old do better taking a private guided tour, or one of their self-drive family packages.

Itinerary & Daily Schedule
The decision on which mountain to ride is made on a daily basis. The decision is primarily based on the current snow conditions and weather forecast.

Mountain Orientation
The best way to get to know the best runs, in the best ski areas in the South Island is on this fully guided tour. The fully qualified hosts know the ski areas inside out and are there to ensure that you have MAXIMUM snow time with MINIMUM fuss. You can trust the guides to show you the slopes that suit your ability, whilst also challenging you and improving your ski or snowboard skills.

Transportation
You will travel in comfortable 4WD vehicles which are well equipped for mountain driving. Your guide is a commercially licensed driver and experienced in handling the expected road conditions. All NZ Snow Tour guides are experienced snow enthusiasts with years of specific snow employment and a high level of knowledge of the local region and snow conditions. To ensure personal attention and maximise the unique experience, spaces are limited to only twelve clients per trip.

There are 3 different options to choose from based on the preferred standard of accommodation. (Prices are based on 2 adults and 2 children (8-17): please enquire if your family numbers and ages are outside of this range and NZ Snow Tours will happily re-quote based on your unique situation).


Silver package:
3 Star, 2 bedroom family units or similar self-catering family accommodation, close to Queenstown CBD.

The spacious family motel rooms have two separate bedrooms with queen bed and two single beds, kitchenette, lounge area and en-suite with bath.

Gold package:
4 Star, 2 bedroom family apartment or similar, luxury two bedroom Queenstown apartment.

Spacious family accommodation for ski holidays & longer stays. Luxuriously furnished with open-plan living and dining areas, two bathrooms, designer kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer and a large balcony.

NZD$6,999 per family of 2 adults (18+) & 2 Children (8-17)

5-Star Option
Premium package:
5 Star, 2 bedroom apartment or similar. The ultimate in Queenstown accommodation, Hotel St Moritz offers a unique blend of stylish guest rooms and suites. Spacious and understated, they each boast a rich, eclectic mix of colour and texture, many with dramatic lake views.

The Two Bedroom Apartment is typically a blend of their one bedroom suite and guest room types by way of interconnecting door (in addition, their inventory has three dedicated two bedroom apartments). The room features a kitchenette (with washing machine / dryer), spacious lounge and dining area, and two en-suite bathrooms.

NZ Snow Tours is a sub-brand of HAKA TOURS. Your contract is with HAKA TOURS Ltd.

A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking to secure your booking. The remainder of the tour cost is due for payment 2 months prior to the tour start date. If booking a tour within 2 months of the tour start date, the total tour amount is due at time of booking.

All fares published supersede all prices previously advertised. Stated duration counts from day of departure to the day of return. HAKA TOURS Ltd reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by HAKA TOURS Ltd within the specified time. Prices include New Zealand Government Goods and Services Tax (where applicable).

HAKA TOURS Ltd reserves the right to make changes to their itineraries or cancel any trip, including a guaranteed trip, at any time prior to departure if something beyond the control of HAKA TOURS Ltd deems it necessary; including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, weather, cultural conditions or other external events. It is imperative that passengers check the most up-to-date information from our website just prior to their trip departing..

If HAKA TOURS Ltd cancels a trip on which you are holding a fully paid booking you may choose between an alternative trip or a full refund. The company is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking such as visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights. If the alternative trip chosen is of a lower value than that originally booked then you are entitled to a refund of the price difference. If the alternative tour chosen is of a higher value then you will pay the difference in price.

  • 14-19 days prior - 50% of holiday cost
  • 7-13 days prior - 70% of holiday cost
  • 2-6 days prior - 90% of holiday cost
  • Within 48 Hours -100% of holiday cost

Please be aware that if you have booked through a third party like a travel agent, their cancellation policy and terms and conditions may differ to our own. Be sure to check their particular terms and conditions, including cancellation policy, as they will apply.

No refund will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason. This includes refund of accommodation, transport, sightseeing, activities, meals or services not utilised.

Cancellation policy applies if you are unable to travel due to not having an appropriate visa to enter New Zealand
