The Remarkables ski area has a tubing park. The Ozone tubing park is located at the top of the Alta quad chair and is open 10-3pm. Prices are very reasonable for an hour pass, so it’s a great option for those who want an alternative to skiing and snowboarding.
For intermediate and advanced riders, a hike to the lookout of the Remarks is highly advisable. From the top of the Shadow Basin chair it is an easy hike up because generally it’s well boot-packed. The lookout provides amazing views across to Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu, and thankfully it’s fenced off, because the drop-off on the Queenstown-side is quite steep and rather daunting.
