The Rakaia Villas make up part of the Terrace Downs Resort situated in the beautiful high country of Canterbury in New Zealand's Southern Alps. Rakaia Villas offers a selection of premium front-row one, two and three bedroom villas for rental. Each villa has been designed to complement the high country landscape and provide million dollar views across the beautifully manicured golf course and up to the Southern Alps.

Where are the Rakaia Villas? Rakia Villas are located at Terrace Downs, sited beside the Rakaia Gorge and in the lee of the towering Mt Hutt mountain range. Terrace Downs is a very scenic 15-20 minutes drive from Methven, and approximately 20 minutes drive to the Mt Hutt mountain road turn-off (which is then another 20-40 minutes to the Mt Hutt car park). It is also in good proximity to Canterbury club fields such as Mt Olympus, Porters, Broken River and Craigieburn.

Accommodation 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas. Each villa offers an open plan lounge and dining area, gas fire, and fully equipped kitchen. Each has a private balcony/patio perfect for enjoying the incomparable views across the Terrace Downs golf course with Mount Hutt and the Rakaia Gorge in the background. Large screen TV, DVD player, CD stereo system, internet connectivity (accessible for a small charge), undercover car parking/garage, full kitchen (including dishwasher) and laundry facilities are all part of this luxury package.

Rooms comprise of plush California king-split beds, feather bedding and a raised double spa bath in the main en-suite bathroom.

The resort offers a drying room for ski gear during the winter which is located close to each villa.

Restaurant & Bar If you feel the urge to leave your luxury villa with all of its facilities, located within the Terrace Downs resort is a fine dining restaurant plus a cafe / brassiere & bar.

Alternatively, take a trip into Methven where you will find a good range of restaurants and bars.
