Mt Taylor Lodge has high quality accommodation in a lodge that is small enough to have the cosy feel of a bed & breakfast establishment. The lodge features beautiful stonework, and is graciously furnished and decked out with stylish interiors, making it feel very inviting and comfortable. Yet the rates are at a fraction of what you’d expect for simple luxury.
Where is Mt Taylor Lodge? Mt Taylor Lodge is located in Lampard St,
Methven New Zealand, only a few minutes walk from the main part of town. The accommodation makes a great base for skiing or boarding at one of the many ski areas near Methven including
Mt Hutt ski resort.
Rooms There are 11 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms that are set up in a variety of configurations. The rooms are simple but stylish, and from some rooms it’s possible to appreciate the spectacular backdrop of Mt Hutt and surrounding mountains.
The accommodation style is probably most suited to singles, couples and those travelling in pairs, however rooms can be joined to accommodate small groups and families.
Facilities The highlight of the lodge is the delightful communal area where many an embellished story of heli-skiing is told around the fire. Other facilities include a computer room with internet, wireless internet access, laundry, drying room, ski storage and tuning facilities, TV room, and a BBQ area. The lodge also has an indoor spa tub - a great place to soak the weary body after a hard day on the ski slopes.
Dining Breakfast is part of the package which includes cereal, fruit, croissants, eggs and great coffee. Nick Taylor, the lodge owner and host will do a great job to contribute to your caffeine addiction with his commercial coffee making machine.
There is a large modern communal kitchen that you can use to cook lunch and dinner, otherwise the town restaurants are only a three minute walk away.
