Niseko Snow Base (Peak Season)
Snow base is averaged across the three areas of the resort (different sides of the mountain) namely Niseko Hirafu, Niseko Higashiyama, and Niseko Annupuri. Starting December, we’ll report how season 2010-2011 stacks up against previous seasons.
Note that peaks (snowfall) and troughs (snow melt) in the charts look more marked on the lower mountain chart because the scale is smaller. Lower mountain can be more susceptible to warm weather (which also accentuates the troughs).
Niseko Temperature (Peak Season)
It’s not common for Niseko to reach positive temperatures during peak season.
