Shizenkan
With exceptional facilities and a great atmosphere, Shizenkan backpacker is the pick of the bunch for travellers on a budget. Both private room accommodation and shared (dormitory) accommodation are available, as well as a fully equipped kitchen for you to prepare your own fare. Other facilities include coin operated laundry, PCs and wireless internet. All bedding is provided, and rooms are individually heated.
Location Shizenkan is located just a few minutes by shuttle bus from the centre of Hirafu village and the lifts, and there is a shuttle bus stop immediately outside the front door.
Accommodation Shinzenkan offers a range of accommodation to suit a variety of budgets from shared dormitory rooms to private rooms with ensuites. There is a lodge and backpacker which are located next door to each other.
Shizenkan Ski LodgeThe ski lodge has 11 rooms catering for up to 25 guests. Rooms cater for 1 - 6 guests and some of them have private ensuites.
The lodge also has its own licensed bar, a dining area, and lounge with wide screen TV and DVD player.
For those who need to check the weather and tease friends with shots taken in the neck-deep Niseko POW, there is free wifi available as well as a guest laptop available for use.
There are plenty of drying facilities and the entire lodge is non-smoking.
Shizenkan Backpacker The Backpacker commenced operation in 2000 and all amenities are modern.
There are 8 rooms accommodating up to 30 guests.
Rooms types are:
- Private Rooms - single, twin, quad and 6 beds (for 1 - 6 guests)
- Dorm Rooms - shared male / female (for 4 - 6 guests)
All bedding is supplied.
The backpacker has large common areas including a dining room ideal for socializing. It has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking up a storm, a drying room and coin laundry. There is also fee wifi and coin operated computers for guests.
The backpacker is smoke-free.
BreakfastThe nightly rates include a hearty western style breakfast including cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs, bacon, freshly brewed coffee, tea and juices.
