Accommodation
We drove to Kitataisetsu for the day from Asahikawa and Furano, but wished we had stayed overnight in a nearby town such as Shirataki.
The Shirataki Hot Spring Inn could be a good option (although we couldn't find any information on this or any other accommodation in Shiritaki - we would greatly appreciate any information if anyone has stayed in Shirataki).
