La Villa Sella Ronda

We were lucky enough to be part of the silver package. Our guide was Kate, she was wonderful and the proprietor, Thomas, was really easy to get along with.

The whole package was great, you can’t go wrong with these folks. Everything was well beyond our expectations, as well as beyond what we were promised.

If the rating was 5 star, they deserve a SIX.

(Moderators note - High praise indeed!)

We have had 3 trips to the Dolomites with Skiare. Each one has been superb. Thomas & Debbie are great hosts, the scenery is magnificent and the instructors are exceptional. We have had Piero guiding/instructing us on each trip and he is truly excellent. Add to that long ski runs with dramatic mountain back drops and lunches of delicious Italian cooking at refugios dotted throughout the mountains. Aside from the skiing, on each of our trips, Debbie has recommended and arranged dinners at fabulous restaurants in the valley, a horse pulled sleigh ride along the river between villages (which for us and our son was magical), arranged babysitting and generally attended to our every need.

For skiing in Europe, Skiare and the Dolomites are unbeatable!

What more can I say, but unbelievable! Everything from the people ( Tom& Debbie) to the guides/instructors and then there's the scenery!!!! With so many trails and on trail restaurants that are all equally fantastic, it's hard to pick one favourite spot ( jimmys is very high on the list)!
Being a boarder married to a pretty handy skier, it's not hard to get left out pretty quickly. But not with these guys, very understanding that we are not quite as mobile as skiers are!
Great bunch of people, great local knowledge coupled with outstanding service. Why would you bother going anywhere else but the Dolomites!!! Cannot recommend this company enough to everyone who has asked us about our trip!
P.S Debbie does know all the best spots!!

This is the absolute ultimate when it comes to ski holidays - why?
The biggest ski area in the world and it's all connected and no-one knows it better than SKAIRE, it's their backyard and they'll show you all it's secrets!
You get spoiled from day one when they pick you up and transfer you to La Villa. Lift tickets are ready and waiting for you, no queues here, and the best ski equipment, with a SKIARE discount of course, is organised for you. What's the weather like? Sunny one day beautiful the next, with fabulous long long runs on perfect snow! And a speciality of the house to eat at every lovely restaurant that has been pre-booked for lunch, it's touch but someone has to do it!! Did I mention the helicopters? To pick you up on the slopes and bring you home at the end of an especially long day skiing, to a warm fire and tails of 'ski grandeur' over a apherol spritz, heaven :)xx

We booked our honeymoon with Skiare and we couldn't have been happier with everything! Right from the get go Tom and Debbie were very helpful with choosing the right package to suit us, and nothing was too much trouble - they even helped out with advice and recommendations for the parts of the honeymoon we weren't booking with them!
The actual trip was amazing, we were totally looked after and made to feel like part of the family. Our instructor Piero was fantastic!!! And Debbie knows all the best spots to eat and drink.
I wish we could holiday with them every year!!

This is our highlight holiday destination -Proven...as this will be our 11th year coming up!..Says it all!!!
Thomas and his team at Skiare are all about giving their clients "a supreme skiing experience" which with their local knowledge, professionalism, attention to the details and fun good humour - really deliver!!!
I have skied at some great resorts and lived in Switzerland for a number of years, but the skiing around the Sella Ronda is just superb- vast, almost always sunny(on the right side of the mountain range), fantastic food with influences from Austrian to Italian not to mention the Ladinish farmhouse cuisine, top accommodation and facilities that just gets better every year, and plenty to shop, see and do. We try and gather family and friends along on each trip (not difficult) to the dolomites to enjoy this very special experience with us and it must be said that even having visited for 10 years- it is a unique and different ski holiday each time and we have still more to discover! Skiare travel group and the Dolomites have given us the best memories and best of times.

We have been visiting the Dolomites with Skiare for more than 6 years. Often we ski somewhere different as well but we always come back to La Vila.
Why? Wonderful and varied ski areas that are so vast , great instructor guides to show you around and work on your technique if that's what you want, best on the mountain food ever, wonderfull care and service from Skiare, excellent accommodation at La Majun (perfect comfort and food in a family run lodging) and much fun to be had year after year. Especially great for family holidays.

Why ski anywhere else?

We first travelled to La Villa with Thomas from Skiare in 2004. Since then we have skied in France, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, USA and Canada, as well as returning to La Villa in the Dolomites a further 7 times. 2016 will be our 9th visit, taking our adult children and their families for a 4 week adventure.
Each year as we have finished our February ski month, the question arises where will we go next year. The simple answer, why go anywhere else. The Dolomites has everything we need - extensive skiing on beautifully prepared slopes, 450 lifts to choose from. The day is filled with adventure. Thomas and his team know the district, terrain and weather - they meet us at 08.30 after breakfast with a plan for skiing based on the weather and the snow. Maybe Sella Ronda today, Kronplatz , Arabba, Santa Croce or Seceda. The options and choices are endless. Most days we ski about 35 km, stop for a perfect coffee mid morning in a Refugio. Lunch in a great restaurant with all of the regional delicacies, Schnapps on the way home. All day escorted by Thomas or one of his wonderful instructors. I always want to improve, so look for instruction and encouragement. Others are satisfied with their skills, the guides are sensitive to your needs and not overbearing.
As soon as we arrive back in Australia, the countdown begins until next February when we will return to the Dolomites for fun, fresh air, good food, a great hotel, and above all wonderful company from our guides.
