Powderhounds Europe Review - Ski Safari 9 Vallees

We had the privilege to ski some choice lines with Ski Safari 9 Vallees founder Misha in her home base of Tignes. The professional & relaxed style is exactly what one is looking for in freeride terrain, as is untracked powder on a busy sunny day in the resort. Misha's intimate knowledge brought us to some sensational snow perfectly suited to the various freeride ski abilities within the group.

It is always an illuminating process when in a massive ski resort for the first day, to then be shown easily-accessed, untracked powder. The inbounds terrain was already smashed by the masses. Sure we would found it eventually, but it would have taken days which we didn't have.

The calm, timely & safe delivery of our sidecountry powder ski adventure with 9 Vallees would be enjoyed by anyone looking to expand their boundaries & get the most out of their ski holiday, but don't have the time to do it on their own.

Awesome

Skiing with Misha and the crew at 9V is an awesome experience. A no nonsense approach opens up the best off piste that the Tarentaise has to offer, but with safety & comfort. The guides know all there is to know about the ski resorts & the surrounding backcountry. 

With many of the Tarentaise resorts quite busy on & off piste, getting some local guidance provides the skiing that everyone wants - untracked fresh powder lines.

Had a great time spending a few days being guiding by 9 Valles around the various Tarentaise ski resorts. Enjoyed Les Arcs & Sainte Foy the best. Great off piste ski tour.

Great Stuff in Testing Conditions

We skied with Misha & the crew for a half day Session at Tignes. Snow conditions were difficult due to some seriously high winds in the receding days. Despite this, our guides found awesome untracked snow on long descents that would have taken us weeks to find. if you want to explore the massive Tignes off-piste terrain efficiently & safely, recommend getting a Snocool/9 Vallees guide.
