Food & Nightlife
A highlight of your
ski holiday to Lech and Zurs will be the dining and drinking opportunities. It's not the same party atmosphere as St Anton, but Lech and Zurs cater well to a more discerning crowd.
Lech and Zurs RestaurantsThere is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants in all the villages, serving international and Austrian cuisine. Lech has at least 55 restaurants and there are 20 in Zürs, many of which are within hotels. The cost of a meal varies significantly between restaurants, but many of them are not for the budget conscious. Quality is of the essence, and some restaurants have earned international acclaim.
Highlights in Lech include La Fenice Restaurant (Italian cuisine) and Die Stude Restaurant (Austrian) in the Hotel Arlberg, and the Fux Steakhouse with an amazing wine menu. In Zürs the Zurserhof Hotel Restaurant and the quaint Chesa restaurant are highlights.
If you need to save some pennies, both Lech and Zurs have bakeries for a cheap take-away meal during the day.
Lech and Zurs Nightlife The nightlife in Lech and Zurs certainly doesn’t rival that of
St Anton, but the après and nightlife are reasonably active. There are nine bars in Lech and seven in Zurs, varying from quiet cocktails bars to rowdy après bars and nightclubs.
In Lech the Eisbar in the Tannbergerhof Hotel is famous for après and is good for people watching. The Tannberg Bar in the same hotel takes partiers into the evening. For something a bit quieter and more refined, the Fux Jazz Bar is the go. You’ll need a substantial budget to have a great time in Lech as the euros will disappear quickly.
In Zürs the Bergwerk bar seems to be the place for après. Having a drink outside is great if you have a Glühwein or four to keep you warm. Into the evening the Zurserl Pleasure Lounge is the place to be seen and for a dance.
