Facilities & Services
Eating On Mountain There are multiple eateries and places to get a drink whilst skiing the circuit around
Lech and Zurs ski resorts. A few of them are cafeteria style, whilst others are full service and offer a fabulous experience.
Our favourite was the restaurant at the top of the Zug lift where there is a terrace, fabulous views and great mega-pizzas. The Montana restaurant in Oberlech is also a good lunch experience on the terrace.
In the villages there are plenty of ski-in ski-out restaurants or hotels, or in Lech the restaurants are only a short walk along the main drag.
Facilities for ChildrenGoogies Babysitting provide childcare anywhere in Lech, Zürs, Oberlech or Zug for €12 per hour. They also hire prams.
The
Lech Zürs Tourist Office can also offer a list of babysitters who charge about € 11,00 per hour with an additional charge per child of € 3,70.
The other daycare option is the
Miniclub at Lech (children 3+) which is also operated by the tourist centre. Activities include games, tobogganing, snowball fights and a little bit of skiing. Wonder if adults can go there too? It costs 52 euro per day.
Ski School Lech and Zurs have four ski schools all offering group and private ski and snowboard and lessons for all ages and ability levels with bilingual instructors. The schools also provide guides for those wanting to go off-piste and not get lost.
Lech ski schule lessons costs €55 per day for adults and children for group lessons. Private all-day lessons are €225. The
Oberlech ski school and the Alpin centre offer similar programs but are slightly more expensive. Similarly the
Zurs ski school is a little more pricey but it's considered to be one of the best ski schools in the world.
Ski and Snowboard Rental With five rental shops in Lech, two in Oberlech, one in Zug and Zürs there are plenty of options to choose from. Location convenience is likely to be the biggest decision-making factor.
