Eating Out There are various options for a feed in
Silver Star including the Silver Grill and Chop House, and the Swiss style
Silver Lode. Long John’s has great pub fare, and the Bulldog Café and the Den also offer pub food. The Italian Garden is a pizza restaurant that also does take-away and delivery, but unfortunately it operates on snow currency.
For a unique and special dinner experience, there’s a snowcat machine that takes diners from the village to Paradise Camp in the Putnam Creek area to Paradise Camp.

Bars & Nightlife Silver Star is not party central. There is nightlife, but it’s reasonably quiet. Unfortunately dancing on the tables is frowned upon. We were in Silver Star one Superbowl night at Long John’s, and were amazed that there was only about ten other people there. Everyone must have been hanging out at home with the family.
Long John’s is a great place for après, to play pool, stay on for dinner and into the night. The Bulldog café and the Den are also nice bars for après or after après.
