Accommodation
Panorama Accommodation
Panorama ski resort is renowned for its ski-in ski-out accommodation, but don’t be fooled into thinking that all the village accommodation has such convenience. The slope-side village of Panorama is set on the hill and is reasonably compact, but you can’t ski down the hill between the buildings.
Some of the accommodations in the lower village will require a 10 minute walk up hill to get to the ski area. There is a slow cabriolet gondola lift that facilitates access from some parts of the lower village, and some accommodation is close to the Toby lift a little further down the hill. Check the
village map regarding the proximity of accommodations to the slopes and other facilities.
Most of the on-mountain accommodation is booked through the
resort, and much of it is in the form of condominiums. They classify the types of accommodation into premium, gold, silver and bronze lodging. The majority of the accommodation is of high quality and a component of the differentiation is associated with location. For example all premium lodging condos offer ski-in ski-out convenience, whilst silver lodgings are generally in the lower village. The exception to the relationship between cost and location is the bronze Pine Inn which offers basic accommodation in the upper village, not far from the slopes. All lodging guests have access to the Panorama Springs hot pools.
One example of Gold Lodging is the
1000 Peaks Summit. These modern and stylish condos are only a very short walk to the hot pools and the slopes. Studio apartments have a full kitchen, queen sized bed, and a lounge area with a sofa bed. Building facilities include an outdoor hot tub.
As a guide to cost, Gold Lodgings have studios and one and two bedroom condos with prices varying from $119 to $469 per night.
Other Accommodation
There are also some accommodations that can be booked directly or through other booking agencies. The lodgings include vacation homes and bed and breakfasts. An example of the latter is the
Earl Grey Lodge which is a luxurious bed and breakfast establishment that costs much less than you would expect for the comfort. The lodge also has a fine dining restaurant.
The other alternative is to stay off the mountain in Invermere and drive up each day. There are various motels and hotels for the budget-oriented traveller including Invermere Inn, Super 8 and the Mountain View Lodge.
