Food & Nightlife
Eating Out There are four options for dining at Mt Norquay ski resort; the deli, the cafeteria, Kika’s Café and the Lone Pine Pub. The latter offers table service, typical pub fare and great views of the resort and surrounding mountains. It’s a perfect place to keep half an eye on the kids. The deck out the front of the Cascade Lodge is also a great place to take in the vista and the sunshine.
Bars & Nightlife An après drink can be enjoyed at the Lone Pine Pub (upstairs in the Cascade Lodge) where you can soak in the scenery through the windows or out on the deck. There are also lots of photographs depicting the long ski history of Norquay. There is often live music to fire up the atmosphere somewhat, but the pub is suited to a relaxing drink rather than going off. Either having to drive off the mountain or the shuttle buses that leave at 4:45-5pm put a bit of a dampener on après activities.
The other popular après venue is the Bistro and Lounge at the
Juniper Hotel (formerly known as the Timberline Inn), which is located at the base of Mount Norquay. Apparently it’s possible to ski all the way down to the bar for an après drink, but unfortunately we can’t comment on this personally.
There are also plenty of
Banff restaurants and bars, and a vibrant nightlife.
