Valhalla Powdercats operate in the legendary Selkirk Mountains and are one of the best recognized cat skiing companies in BC Canada. They have a huge tenure of terrain (6 times the size of Whistler Blackcomb Resort combined - and that's BIG!) consisting of moderate to steep high open alpine bowls, perfectly gladed forests, and endless Kootenay powder all day long. OverviewThis 7 day powder experience is one of the best on the planet! Combining a warm-up at the sleepy but fabulous ski resort of Red Mountain, then 2 days of cat skiing with Valhalla Powdercats, a day to recuperate and check out the Ainsworth hot springs, and then the pinnacle of the tour; 3 days of heli skiing at Snowwater.
Itinerary
Day 1
Leave the comfort of your bed at the Prestige Resort in Rossland and head 5 minutess up the road to Red Mountain Ski Resort for breakfast. Spend the day exploring this great little resort and warming the legs up for your ultimate powder adventure. Tonight (and the following 2 nights) you will stay at the Prestige Lakeside Resort in Nelson; located on the lake frontage of Kootenay Lake.
Day 2 & 3
Each day you will start the day with breakfast at Prestige Lakeside Resort before heading to the Valhalla cat skiing staging area. You will be provided with snacks and lunch on the move to ensure you get as many turns as possible. Each night you will return to Nelson where you can either stay in the hotel for dinner or head into Nelson (only a few minutes walk) to try out some of the great restaurants and bars in town.
Day 4
Day 4 is an opportunity to rejuvenate and relax those weary muscles before the ultimate highlight of the tour. En-route to Snowwater Heli Ski base you will get the opportunity to visit the famous Ainsworth Hotsprings - the miracle hot springs will totally relax your muscles (and the rest of you) ready for the adventure you are about to experience. Arrive approximately 1:30pm for your heli lift to your remote accommodation (for the next 3 nights) at Snowwater Lodge with only 12 other guests; you will feel like royalty!!
Day 5, 6 & 7
For the next 3 days you will basically rise from your comfy bed and head to the dining room for a hearty breakfast before being whisked away for the day in the ultimate ski lift. The package includes unlimited heli skiing. Lunch will be served daily somewhere high in the mountains. At night kick back in the hot tub before resting on the bar (where by the way all alcohol apart from cellar wines & premium liquor is included) all the time re-living all of those perfect powder turns of the day gone by. Sit down to a scrumptious culinary feast. A few more drinks and it's off to bed to do the same again for the next couple of days.
The big advantage with Snowwater is that they have a snowcat backup plan if the weather turns foul; so you are guaranteed to thousands of powder turns no matter what the conditions.

Bookings
- A 25 % payment is required at the time of booking
