Selkirk Wilderness Skiing is the original and the best! It was the birthplace of snowcat skiing back in 1975, and powderhounds have SWS to thank for introducing such a great powder skiing experience. You will stay at the SWS exclusive mountain lodge where you will be totally spoiled with great hospitality, incredible food and a lovely atmosphere.

OverviewThis package is designed specifically for those new to powder skiing or snowboarding, or for those who want to learn for the first time. This gentle introduction to cat skiing/boarding and the SWS experience will include 3 nights accommodation, 3 days skiing or snowboarding, and of course our famous lodge cuisine.

Certified CSIA instructors will provide you with instruction in a friendly and calm atmosphere. Lessons will include instruction on powder skiing and boarding techniques including how to enjoy tree skiing, how to fall and get up, and how to pick your line down the mountain. All participants in this package will be of a similar experience level, so there is no pressure to get maximum vertical. Rather the emphasis will be on just enjoying each of the days and learning all the skills required to have a safe time in our Selkirk powder.

This Intro package is a great opportunity to bring a spouse or a friend who has always wanted to experience cat skiing at SWS, but who may have lacked the confidence in the past or who needs some extra instruction.

During these intro weeks our second cat will be accommodating our regular powder hounds, ensuring a great time for everyone!
