Revelstoke

Revelstoke Cat SkiingCat skiing with the Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a “must do” so that you can experience the full complement of powderhound activities on offer at Revelstoke. Revelstoke is the new “it” place for powder skiing and snowboarding because the snow falls in abundance. This is a great place to prowl for powder in a cat.

Cat Ski Packages Revelstoke offers single day cat ski trips. Accommodation is not included in the package so you have complete freedom to choose your own. It’s all about flexibility. Your ski holiday can include a mix of cat skiing, resort (lift) skiing, and heli skiing with Selkirk Tangiers. This is what makes the Revelstoke experience unique.

A single day of cat skiing is very reasonably priced at CAD$400 per person (2011-12 rate). The package includes the guided cat skiing, equipment rental, lunch, and apres ski appetizers.

If you want to experience it all at Revelstoke, check out the Ultimate ROC Pack where you will do a day of cat / heli preparation at RMR, a day of cat skiing and a day of heli skiing with Selkirk-Tangiers followed by a final day of guided backcountry touring. The price for this package is only CAD$2953 for 2 people. Backcountry packs are available for hire for $30p.p. and touring gear for $55p.p. (all prices are ex 12% HST). This tour is for advanced to expert riders only and will be tailored to your group's fitness level and ability.

Where is Revelstoke Cat Skiing Located? The Revelstoke cat skiing terrain is located adjacent to the Revelstoke Mountain Resort in the legendary Selkirk Mountains. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is just a few kilometres from the town of Revelstoke, and is 2 hours north of Kelowna and 5 hours west of Calgary.

Cat Skiing Terrain The cat ski terrain incorporates the South, Montana and Kokanee Bowls which adjoin the lift serviced terrain, and provide 1,242 hectares (3,070 acres or 12.4km2) of powder fun to ‘revel’ in. The terrain is predominantly gladed slopes that are moderately steep and appropriate for advanced riders. The trees are a fraction tight in places, so intermediates would not be well catered for. Alpine bowl skiing is also on offer which has greater pitch. As with all cat skiing operations, the snow conditions, snowpack stability, visibility and ability level of the group dictates the terrain that is covered each day.

More Reasons To Cat Ski With Revelstoke Even though it is very reasonably priced, riding the Revelstoke cat is a lavish experience. You almost feel like you’re sitting in a Gold Class Cinema. The only thing missing is the popcorn.
