town of Banff is well set up for tourists with various facilities. There are many shops, restaurants, and services such as internet cafes, photographic shops and laundrettes.
Facilities for ChildrenThere is child care available at
Norquay,
Sunshine Village and
Lake Louise ski resort.
In Banff, some of the hotels provide child care, or Childcare Connection can come to you in your accommodation. With a 4 hour minimum, it costs $12.50 per hour for one to three children.
If staying in Canmore, Canmore Day Care provide care by the hour or day.
Banff Ski Rental There are plenty of equipment rental shops in Banff. In addition to renting ski and snowboard packages, many of the shops also rent snowblades, cross-country skis, safety gear and a wide range of other equipment. Norquay, Sunshine and Lake Louise also rent gear, but this tends to be a little more expensive.
Banff Springs Ski and Mountain Sports at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel have a wide range of snow equipment including backcountry gear. On Banff Avenue, Banff Ski Hub rent new and top range snow equipment and sell lift tickets. Other rental places include

Banking Facilities ATMs are located throughout the town of Banff, most of which can be used with international cards on Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus or Maestro. There are currency exchanges in the Cascade Plaza.
Grocery Shopping Keller's and Safeway
are the two main grocery stores in Banff. Keller's also sell cheap deli
meals. There is also a large IGA in the town of Canmore.
